About Us

Connie's Pet Peeves Grooming & Boarding is a facility for dogs and cats. We've been in business since 1998, Located in Gold Bar, WA. We are dedicated to providing top-notch grooming services & care to ensure that your furry family members look and feel their best. Our love for pets and their owners is at the heart of everything we do.

At Connie's Pet Peeves Grooming & Boarding, we are committed to providing exceptional grooming and boarding services for your beloved pets. We take pride in our experienced team who go above and beyond to ensure the well-being of every pet in our care.

To ensure the health & wellbeing of all our guests, we require proof of all current vaccines that are required yearly and some every 3 years. We also have a strict cleaning & disinfecting regimen everywhere in our facility, including our tubs, tables & tools which are disinfected after each dog. We go the extra mile by using disinfecting blue lights and air purifiers. Our strong exhaust system allows fresh are to be circulated. We take your pet's health very serious.

Fleas  - all pets should be on a flea regimen. Flea dips are a thing of the past & we do not offer them. Pets that arrive at our facility with fleas are subject to an additional $20 charge for the treatment of the facility after your pet leaves.

Arrival & departure for dogs - please keep your dog(s) on a leash. Not all dogs like other dogs and it's best that dogs coming & going are leashed to ensure safety.

How long will my dog or cat take for grooming?  - It depends on many factors but on average, dogs & cats are with us for 2-4 hours. We will call you as soon as they're ready for pickup. We request that you pickup within 30 minutes of our call unless arranged otherwise.

How to help your dog have a more enjoyable time while at the salon:

- Have your pup take a long potty break before they leave the house.

- Exercise like a walk/run or playing ball before their appointment helps to exert energy which allows them to be more relaxed during their appointment.

- Give your pup confidence at drop off time just like you would your child. Try not to feed into what appears to be anxiety. Dogs are very intune to your energy. If you’re nervous about leaving your pup, they too will be nervous while you’re there. Once a nervous pup parent exits, their pup then looks to us for confidence and comfort. They are in good hands

- Taking your dog out and about between salon appointments gives them socialization skills. This will really help dogs especially who aren’t used to leaving their home. This helps build confidence in your pup and they become relaxed when in environments other than their home.

- Avoid heavy meals before your pup’s salon appointment. A full tummy and excitement can cause an upset tummy.

- A dog trainer can really help in areas you might be having difficulty with or just don’t have time for. Let us know if you’d like to be referred to a trainer.
